Edgecliff Station Upgrade
Degnan successfully completed the Edgecliff Station upgrade as part of the Transport Access Program (TAP).
The comprehensive upgrade focused on improving accessibility and customer convenience. Two new lifts were installed, providing complete access between the train platforms and the bus interchange, significantly improving mobility for all passengers, including those with disabilities.
Four escalators connecting the train platforms and concourse were upgraded, enhancing efficiency and reliability for commuters. Ticket gates were relocated to optimise customer flow, reducing congestion during peak travel times.
To prioritise safety, new pedestrian crossings were introduced within the bus interchange, improving access and safeguarding commuters navigating the busy hub.
On New McLean Street, a new accessible ramp and stairs were constructed, along with a kiss-and-ride zone and bicycle racks, catering to a variety of transport needs. Additionally, the bus canopy was extended, offering greater weather protection and ensuring a more comfortable experience for passengers waiting for services.
