Rockdale Station Lift Replacement

Degnan has been engaged by Sydney Trains to deliver the Lift 3 Replacement Project at Rockdale Station, continuing our role in upgrading critical infrastructure to improve accessibility and service reliability across the Sydney Trains network.

Degnan’s experience delivering Lift 1 and 2 upgrades at Rockdale Station ensures this project benefits from our proven expertise in managing complex upgrades within live station environments, maintaining safety, reliability, and high-quality outcomes for passengers.

Scope of Work
  • Dismantle and remove the existing hydraulic lift
  • Install a new electric motor-driven lift
  • Upgrade structural steel components in the lift shaft to current loading standards
  • Install new submain electrical supply and mechanical ventilation
  • Introduce new SHS posts at lift entry doors
  • Replace tiles and install new surface-mounted thresholds on concourse and platform levels
  • Remove redundant equipment and fixtures, clean and repaint concourse ceilings
Project Timeline

Construction commences February 2026, with completion expected by March 2026.
