Merrimac Station
Merrimac Station is one of three new stations being delivered on the Gold Coast to better connect South East Queensland’s growing population. When open, Merrimac Station will not only expand options for travel in and around the Gold Coast, but also for passengers on their way to Brisbane.
Degnan is proud to be supporting Fulton Hogan to deliver the high-quality fit-out and finishing works that will bring the station to life. Early works for the new station began in 2023 and is expected to be complete in 2026.
The new station features an elevated pedestrian overpass connecting both sides of the station, approximately 200 parking spaces, undercover lock-up bicycle enclosure and additional outdoor bicycle storage and a station precinct for improved public transport connectivity.
Degnan has been working with Fulton Hogan over the past two years assisting with cost planning, drawing onour proven experience in delivering new stations to provide insights that supported design and delivery decisions.
Degnan will be transforming the station interiors and exteriors with cladding, ceilings, glazing, flooring, joinery, and high-quality finishes that shape the passenger experience and deliver the details that make the station inviting, safe, accessible, and ready for daily use.
