PROJECT INFORMATION
Degnan constructed a High Voltage Substation at Ingleburn as part of the Rail Network Power Supply Upgrade. Due to the construction being located within the live rail environment, it required considerable coordination and planning due to the high-risk nature of working within the rail corridor.
The Substation was constructed using bored concrete piles, concrete floor structures, steel structural frameworks, honed and split face blockwork façades with full height louvers to provide adequate ventilation for the new electrical equipment. New drainage systems and oil containment systems have been installed, and the substation will be surrounded by blockwork retaining walls and security fencing.
