This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Systems Assurance methods and process for a key project including Systems Assurance, Safety Assurance and Competency Management.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify all Assurance requirements associated with the Project and the management of all necessary approvals
- Liaise with and manage the integration of Safety and Systems Assurance inputs, information and considerations with Safety and Systems Assurance and Management resources from the JV partners, clients and contributors
- Be the primary point of liaison with ASA on the project with regards to the Safety and Systems Assurance components of the AEO accreditation and management process
- Plan and manage resources as required for the optimal delivery of Degnan’s Safety and Systems Assurance function
- Establish and build Consultant and Client relationships throughout project
- Review key project processes, documentation and assurance evidence to ensure quality and content is aligned with verification and validation strategy across project lifecycle thereby meeting client expectations
- Act as point of contact on the Project for Systems and Safety Assurance activities with both internal and external relevant parties
- Support the Project Interface Manager for the management and co-ordination of Interface Contractor Assurance requirements
What you’ll need to succeed
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction or engineering environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of risk-based safety assurance within or as a consultant to, major projects associated with a complex, high reliability operating environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, standards and guidance, processes and practices related to safety management for major rail infrastructure projects
- Ability to identify and assure management of risks for complex projects with multiple participants and stakeholders
- High level conceptual and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and to solve difficult problems on a regular basis, identifying causes and offering alternative solutions
- In-depth knowledge of system and safety assurance and associated management processes as applied to Transport / Rail projects
- Knowledge of Testing and Commissioning and Quality Assurance
- Knowledge of Systems Integration requirements and processes
- Knowledge of Configuration Management requirements and processes
- Knowledge of Competency Management as applied to Transport / Rail projects
