Robert brings extensive leadership experience in delivering bespoke, complex, and multidisciplinary projects for both Client Side and Principal Contractor roles. Specialising in project management and technical services for major infrastructure projects across Australia and the UK, Robert supports all stages of the project lifecycle to deliver ‘Best for Project’ outcomes. Known for forming effective teams and managing project risks with a collaborative contracting approach, his expertise spans pre-contracts, design, planning, commercial, and operational delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including both brownfield and greenfield developments.
As Head of Commercial, Peter is committed to client satisfaction through collaborative project delivery that is on-time and on-budget.
Peter has consistently managed rail, energy, public works, commercial and residential projects for Degnan over the past 20 years. He leads our projects with a depth of knowledge and level of expertise that ensures maximum productivity and optimal results are always delivered.
He is responsible for managing contract deliverables and overseeing the project team to ensure the commercial and compliance aspects are being met in accordance with the contract.
Peter consistently works with his team to develop the unique skillset required to maximise productivity and deliver client needs.
With more than 18 years’ industry experience working alongside the NSW Government and their agencies. Chris is approachable, driven and passionate about client and staff engagement.
Realistic and adaptable, Chris’ capacity for driving successful project outcomes has helped to shape Degnan’s reputation across multiple industry sectors. Lead by Chris, our team provides certainty in delivery, quality, safety and success.
Chris’ personal approach means you will see him at numerous design and construction meetings as well as consultative site inspections.
Carly has been an integral part of Degnan since she joined the team in 2006. Coming from an accounting background, she joined Degnan to help drive the family business and deliver client needs. As well as her role as Head of Finance, Carly has been responsible for developing company procedure, implementing marketing strategies and overseeing substantial company growth.
Her ability to generate innovative and effective management solutions has resulted in a trusting and respectful relationships with clients, contractors and all levels of staff at Degnan.
Graeme Degnan, Founder and Executive Director of Degnan Constructions Degnan; with over 40 years’ experience he has proven to be a visionary leader in the construction industry.Since establishing the team in 1979 and building a strong working relationship with the NSW Government, Graeme has led the business with a hands-on approach, delivering numerous major infrastructure projects across NSW.
Graeme brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Degnan and manages a team of skilled professionals to drive corporate direction with his passion for innovation and construction.
Ben is a highly skilled professional with over 25 years’ experience across a diverse range of construction sectors; including rail and ports infrastructure projects, Federal Government and community facilities, residential and aged care developments. Actively involved in planning, Ben has been integral in achieving clients’ objectives. As one of our key representatives, Ben guides the Degnan teams to ensure successful design and delivery of projects. Teamed with his vast experience, Ben’s exceptional communication skills creates a positive environment for client design development, building solid foundations for success and collaboration.
With over 25 years of experience, David is a committed construction professional who heavily invests in the planning strategy and delivery processes of every project. As Head of Construction, David takes the lead in the design and planning phase of our projects, ensuring minimal disruption to the community while delivering effective and safe results. His attention to detail and innovative construction methodologies have consistently delivered significant time and cost savings, offering benefits to clients, customers and the community. David has developed and implemented successful delivery strategies for TfNSW, Sydney Trains, AusGrid, Department of Education and multiple residential clients. David is highly committed to collaboration, teamwork and clear communication. He continuously brings a strong knowledge of construction to the Degnan team.
Andrew is an expert in environmental and sustainability management, creating strategies to mitigate environmental impacts across transport, construction, resources and waste sectors. As an environmental auditor, he drives project improvements by developing custom environmental plans that address various challenges. Working on both strategic and operational levels, Andrew’s management and communication skills enhance environmental outcomes across his projects.
Josh is an Engineering Professional with more than 25 years of valuable knowledge in engineering management and strategic development across a broad range of industries.
He is also an Infrastructure and Sustainability Accredited Professional, dedicated to successfully developing and delivering engineering solutions that are innovative, sustainable and ultimately achieve the best possible outcomes for the community. Josh is an exceptionally organised team leader and adept in building client relationships and championing Degnan’s pre-contracts processes and procedures.
Rebecca Lucas, Head of Business Operations, leading operational system and process improvements, change management, talent, culture, business structuring, HR and engagement to manage the business’s growth.
Rebecca brings over 20 years of experience in HR, business operations and process improvement across various industries. Rebecca’s key strengths are in creating a collaborative culture, change management and making the complex simple. Rebecca is leading the way to ensure we are operationally ready for our business expansion.
Ellie is skilled in managing site teams to ensure quality work that adheres to safety regulations and Australian Standards across NSW, Victoria and Queensland. Ellie has successfully led teams on both private and government contracts and has earned recognition in national safety awards alongside numerous client testimonials. Known for her proactive approach, she excels at identifying, assessing, and controlling safety risks, swiftly addressing compliance issues and incidents.
Daniel has a robust career in project management, contributing over three decades to the construction industry. He has managed a diverse range of projects, including rail, infrastructure, civil, commercial, and health. As a highly experienced Senior Project Manager, Daniel demonstrates strong expertise in safety, environmental, and quality management. He has delivered complex projects on time and within budget, managing design, logistics, cost planning, and SQE systems. His ability to foresee project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies ensures outstanding project outcomes.
Ray is a seasoned professional in delivering bespoke, complex, and multi-disciplinary projects. With a comprehensive background in design, construction, and contract management, he has led projects from inception through to commissioning. His transparent communication style fosters trust and collaboration, making him adept at managing a wide variety of new build, remedial, and refurbishment projects across commercial, energy, and transport infrastructure sectors.
Kim brings years of experience working with tier-one and tier-two contractors on diverse bridge, rail track, and transport infrastructure projects across NSW, Victoria, and South Australia. A versatile Project Manager and Engineer, he has managed design processes, site logistics, and construction programmes to achieve significant commercial outcomes. Kim is valued for his leadership skills, especially in guiding younger engineers and coordinating efforts with specialist subcontractors to drive project success.
Bridget manages communications, media, and marketing. She is pivotal in aligning project objectives with community interests, fostering partnerships, and supporting sustainable initiatives. Bridget’s ability to understand and address community concerns helps promote project benefits and a sense of shared ownership. She is also skilled in crisis management, navigating challenges while maintaining transparency and contributing to a responsible business approach.
In his role as Engineering Manager, Alex combines a detailed understanding of client and regulatory standards with an innovative approach to problem solving. Alex has extensive experience in both the design and construction of transport infrastructure. Providing engineering leadership to Degnan’s projects, Alex ensures that engineering outcomes are safe, practical and efficient to construct.
With a passion for innovation and sustainability, Alex has been integral in the delivery of some of Degnan’s cutting edge design solutions including the award winning Photo Voltaic Glass Canopy at Como Station.
