Degnan partners with several disability services, and we’d like to celebrate their achievements and raise awareness of the inclusion of people living with a disability.
We’ve had the pleasure of being involved with the disAbility program at St George Sutherland Community College over the years in a range of activities, from the ‘almost’ famous ‘Little Italy Café and working with their woodworking team during the Como Station Upgrade, through to being able to interact with their clients to create and present a Rail Safety video promoting TrackSAFE Foundation and Rail Safety week, focusing on tips for those with who use a wheelchair, are visually impaired, or have mobility issues.
Civic Disability Services Limited, an Australian Disability Enterprise, is a long-term supplier that proudly and enthusiastically delivers our monthly notifications with complete professionalism.
This year with many of our current projects in the Illawarra we have connected with The Flagstaff Group to interview and create another Rail Safety presentation for their School Leaver Employment Support cohort.
Degnan is also a proud major sponsor of Wheelchair Rugby Australia, supporting the players participating in the Wheelchair Rugby Championships.
We are delighted to have so many connections and to be able to celebrate these incredible organisations for the work they do and for providing us with unforgettable experiences which allow for Degnan staff and project partners to develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be a person with a disability.
We look forward to continuing our connections with all these organisations and embracing future opportunities to work with people with a disability.
Special thanks to the clients at SGSCC DisAbility group for being the superstars of our video.
